The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a National Level Entrance Examination for admission to Management Programme(s) in the country. This Test facilitates AICTE-affiliated participating Institutions to select suitable graduate candidates for admission to the Management Courses in such Institutions.
Till 2018, the Test was conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). NTA is conducting this Test since 2019.
The CMAT will now be conducted by the NTA. The CMAT is a three hours Computer Based Online Test that is conducted to evaluate the candidate’s ability across various segments like Quantitative Techniques, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship.
CMAT Eligibility Criteria
National Testing Agency releases the eligibility criteria of the NTA CMAT exam 2023 in the official CMAT notification. Applicants who fulfill the academic qualifications, and age limit as specified in the eligibility criteria can apply for the CMAT 2023 entrance exam.
CMAT 2023 eligibility criteria:
- Nationality: To apply for CMAT 2023, students must be citizens of India.
- Academic qualifications: Graduates in any discipline from recognized institutes can apply for the CMAT exam. Final-year students can also apply for the computer-based online CMAT exam 2023.
- Age limit: There is no age limit for appearing in the CMAT exam.
CMAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria – Course Wise
- For PGCM – A bachelor’s in any discipline.
- For Executive PGDM – Candidate must have completed their graduate degree in any discipline with a minimum of five years of work experience.
- For MBA & PGDM – He/ She should have finished their graduate degree in any discipline.
CMAT Registration Process
The registration process is expected to commence in the 2nd week of February 2024. The students are required to submit their applications online. There is no provision to submit the application offline.

Register for the online application form
The first step in the process is to submit the basic information. After the successful submission, the candidate will receive his application number and password. In order to log in thereafter, the candidate will be required to log in with his credentials to submit the application form. -
Complete your Application
Log in with your system-generated login credentials and complete your application form. Upload all the documents including your scanned photograph and signature -
Payment
Select a suitable payment option and follow the instructions available online to complete the payment. After a successful payment transaction, a confirmation page will be generated. If the confirmation page is not generated then the amount debited will be refunded back and you will have to make the transaction again.
Documents Required for Registration
- Both the scanned photograph and signature should be in JPG/JPEG format.
- The size of the scanned photograph should be between 10 kb to 200 kb
- The size of the scanned signature should be between 4 kb to 30 kb
- The photograph can be colored or black/white (but with clear contrast)
CMAT 2024 Application Form Fee
The next step after filling up the online Application Form is to pay the registration fee. As per last year, the application fee for different categories is as follows: –

- For a correct attempt, you will be awarded 4 marks.
- For a wrong attempt, 1 mark will be deducted.
- No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.
- The total composite score will be evaluated by totaling marks earned or deducted in each section.
