Everything you need to know about the JIPMAT: An entrance exam conducted by IIM’s for admission to Five Year Integrated Programme in Management

JIPMAT or Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test is a national-level entrance examination for admission to 5-Year Integrated Program in Management. JIPMAT scores help in IPM admissions at IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu. The exam will be held for 2.5 hours in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode in more than 75 cities across India. The JIPMAT question paper will have a total of 100 questions on Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension. JIPMAT Accepting Colleges

IIM Bodhgaya and IIM Jammu will accept JIPMAT 2023 scores for admission to their dual degree 5-year IPM programme. IPM offers BBA+MBA degrees by these IIMs. Both IIM Bodhgaya and IIM Jammu have launched their 5-Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) from the academic session 2021-22 for the students who have completed their class XII.

On successful completion of the IPM programme, students will be awarded dual degree BBA + MBA. The admission to IIM BG and IIMJ IPM Five Year Integrated Programme in Management is through the BBA JIPMAT 2023 conducted by NTA.

JIPMAT Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility criteria to appear for JIPMAT exam:

Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed the Class 12 exam, or equivalent, in 2021, 2022 or shall be taking the exam in 2023. Candidates appearing for Class 12 or equivalent in the current session must pass by the end of July 31.
  • Candidates must have passed the Class 10 exam in 2018 or later.

Minimum Qualifying Score

  • Candidates must score a minimum of 60 percent in Class 12 and Class 10 if they belong to the general category.
  • Candidates belonging to reserved categories are eligible for scoring a minimum of 55 percent in Class 12 and Class 10.

Age Limit: No age limit has been prescribed by IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu; however, candidates must have fulfilled the passing year criteria for Class 10 and Class 12.

TEST PATTERN & SCORING

JIPMAT Exam Pattern

  • Medium of Question Paper: The medium of Question Paper shall be in English only
  • JIPMAT 2023 Test Duration: 02:30 hours (150 minutes)
  • Sectional Time Limit: JIPMAT 2023 has No sectional time limit. You can attempt any question from any section during the overall time limit 2½ hours
  • Mode of JIPMAT Examination 2023: The exam will be held as Computer Based Test (CBT) at test centres
  • JIPMAT 2023 Pattern: The test Paper comprises 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
  • Negative Marking: -1 Mark for each wrong answer

JIPMAT Application Process

JIPMAT exam is taken by the NTA, and the entire process to apply is online only.

  • Refer to the JIPMAT 2023 website ad tap on the JIPMAT 2023 New Registration’ tab
  • After that click on New Registration again to go to the application page.
  • Tap on the check box and press the ‘I agree’ button
  • Candidates are supposed to fill in all the details accurately.
  • Fill the application form with academic details
  • Upload scanned images of photograph and signature in the mentioned format only.
  • Now pay the application fees, either using debit/credit card or net banking

Documents Required for JIPMAT 2023 

The list of documents that must be kept handy while applying for the JIPMAT 2023 include:

  • Class 10 mark sheet
  • Class 12 mark sheet
  • Aadhar/Voter ID card
  • SC/ST certificate
  • PwD certificate
  • Copy of scanned signature
  • Scanned passport size photo
  • Debit/credit card or net banking details to pay the fees

JIPMAT Reservation Criteria

IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya follow the reservation criteria as per the Central Government norms. The reservation criteria for admissions based on JIPMAT are as follows:

  • Scheduled Castes (SC): 15%
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST): 7.5%
  • Other Backward Classes-Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL): 27%
  • Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 10%

Besides the reservations mentioned above; five per cent of seats from each category are reserved for the PWD candidates.

To verify the JIPMAT exam 2023 result, students should follow the step-by-step process below. This will lead the candidate to get their appropriate JIPMAT result.

Step 2: Then find and click the link called “JIPMAT 2023 Score” in the middle of the webpage.

Step 3: It will redirect to the JIPMAT 2023 login page. From there, candidates have to enter their JIPMAT 2023 login credentials like application number, password, and security code.

Step 4: The JIPMAT result 2023 will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Check and download the result for the next step.

Step 6: Click the save button to download the JIPMAT scorecard in pdf format.

Step 7: Finally, take a printout of the result for your future reference.
